Riva ,"Witchgait Measurin Up"

After loosing my dog Maddie 2 years ago next February, I was asked if I would like to have Riva from a friend of mine. I had no knowledge of the breed Shar Pei, having grown up with gun dogs as a child. I thought about it for a while and decided it was so quiet at home without a dog now as I had gotten used to having one around even though I hadn’t had Maddie, my Weimaraner, for long and it had been a heart breaking experience from start to finish I decided yes I would have her and see how we got on.

I started visiting her at her home with Richard and her brother Rocco. I fell in love with her straight away, she was very shy of me at first so I carried on visiting and going out for walks so she'd get to know me.

After a few weeks we decided she was ready and she came to live with me and I have never looked back since she’s a fantastic dog very spoilt and treated like a princess but not so its made her naughty or nasty. She’s just easy going with the people she knows loves to play and just generally loves being with me and my daughter.

I will have had her 2 years next year and I couldn't imagine life with out her and I think soon we will be ready to have another to join our family it's a fantastic breed with so much love to give and I’m so glad I have her!
